Chris Kroeze
presented by Schlenner Wenner & Co
6:30-9pm
Singer and Songwriter Chris Kroeze connects with both the hearts and minds of audiences across various generations through his genuine country soul and his unique and alluring vocal delivery as he performs more than 200 shows per year. Kroeze performs all across the U.S. and internationally, including multiple tours overseas each year in support of our U.S. Armed Forces.
Early in life, struggling to focus and control an “excessive” amount of energy, Kroeze’s father gave him a guitar for his sixth birthday. It was that day that his musical journey started as he seemed to connect deeply to something special, and zero his attention and energy into his music.
From the first time he stepped on stage at his sixth grade talent show, he was hooked. His obsession with music took him from the stage at his Middle School talent show to audiences of tens of thousands and Kroeze’s career has continued to escalate year after year. Along with headlining the majority of his show, he has also had the privilege of performing with and also sharing the stage with music superstars like Montgomery Gentry, The Doobie Brothers, Travis Tritt, Blake Shelton, Joe Nichols, The Lost Trailers, Chris Kagle, Josh Thompson, and many others.
With overwhelming support of his home town of Barron, Wisconsin, Kroeze raised money to head to Nashville in 2014 and recorded his first single “Four Letter Words” at the famous Station West Recording Studio. That first single went on to receive heavy radio play throughout the Midwest and open numerous doors for the young musician.
A call from the producers of NBC’s Emmy Award Winning television show, The Voice, catapulted Kroeze onto the National Stage this year. Kroeze’s combination of vocal and guitar skills, along with his humility and small town country boy nature, have captured the hearts of millions of fans week after week. With guidance from Blake Shelton, he’s continued to wow audience’s week after week. “His potential is limitless” said Maroon 5’s Adam Levine.
Kroeze is set to release his new album early 2019.
Kroeze continues to generate significant press from media from coast to coast and anyone who has been watching his journey can see that this great young artist is JUST getting warmed up!

Six to Midnight
opens the stage at 5pm
Six to Midnight…People love to ask us, “What is that?” “Do you start at Six?” “Are you done at Midnight?” “What does it mean?” Originally, it had no meaning–it was just the catchiest name we could think of. Believe us when we say, we wish the story was more exciting. Over time; though, we’ve become the party band around town like nothing you’d ever expect from a cover band. I guess what we’re saying is, we’d like to think of ourselves as the party guys that just rolled in to make the night come alive!
So what do you play? Everything. No, seriously… Everything. 60’s? Yes. 80’s? Yes. That hit that just came out last week from Justin Timberlake? Yes. That one country song everyone likes to sing at bar close? Yes. If there’s a hook and you know it, we’re playin’ it. No gimmicks, no costumes, just a bunch of music loving guys in jeans; with some really bad jokes.
Our friends tell us they’ve never seen the clubs we party at more packed and we seem to pick up a lot of friends along the way, I guess that’s not a bad thing now that we’re thinking about it.. Now I know you’re wondering, where can you see us? Where can’t you see us is probably the better question! County fairs, street dances, clubs, bars, weddings, special events! We do it all and the party is just getting started, so..shall we?

Michael Shynes
presented by Xcel Energy
6:30-9pm
The fact that Michael Shynes is a Midwest born singer songwriter with a Platinum Record in Poland, in many ways, sums up the unlikelihood of his career perfectly. Being a self taught musician from a small town, he seemed to build a career out of nothing more than pure hustle and soulful songwriting. And he was also a son who had lost his father, quit his day job, and chased an unlikely dream. And even though the music itself may be difficult to define (often oscillating from Folk to Pop to R&B to Country and then back again), the intent behind it is the unifying ingredient. The unmistakable truth that it never strives to be anything less than genuine and authentic.
After losing his Father to an auto immune disease when Shynes was 25, he decided to honor his Dad’s legacy by chasing the ambitions he had been putting off. At that time he was working at a residential treatment center for teens, and playing the occasional show on the weekend. “It was important work, and shaped who I am today in a lot of ways. But the stark reality of realizing how quickly life can change, made me realize how I wanted to spend my time here.”
This was also at a time when he was falling in love, adopting a daughter, and trying to build a home. “I think it benefited me in a lot of ways as there were no excuses. I had mouths to feed. What crippled me when music was a journey strictly for myself, was the idea the there had to be some deep meaning in everything. Once it was simply about providing for my family, that’s when I was able to see everything through the lens of simply building our lives together.”
Shynes would often get noticed as a strong local candidate to open up for National acts as they came through town, and even ended up on a tour with Platinum Recording Artist Howie Day. “That was transformative as I was playing for theaters full of people who had no obligation to buy into what I was selling on stage. But I realized I could hold their attention with just the stories and the songs. That was a landmark experience.”
Now Shynes has worked to become one of the most sought after performers in the Midwest. Recently selling out his first theater shows, and building a fully immersive live performance concept that includes up to a nine piece band paired with a video and light show. Blending shades of multiple genres over an acoustic and full band landscape, his songs are ripe with lyrical depth rarely paired with such mainstream appeal. The thing that seems to separate Shynes is unquestionably his vocal stylings. With a range and falsetto that is nothing short of captivating, his acoustic finger picking style acts as the perfect bed of warmth on which his soulful lyrics can rest.
Guytano
opens the stage at 5pm
Minnesota based Guytano is made up of brothers Grant and Eddie Hamilton along with Isaac Hesse and Colter Benoit. The band first met in 2010 while attending middle school in Sartell, Minnesota where they began covering punk rock songs eventually finding their own synth-based pop-rock sound behind the songs of the band’s Grant Hamilton.

In 2016 Guytano released their self-produced debut album, ‘I Am Inside My Body’, which was recorded with Aaron Ankrum and mastered by Huntley Miller. The song “Fall Back In Your Arms” received an immediate response on digital streaming services, college and commercial radio, and became an instant fan favorite at their live shows. Music from their debut album also appeared on numerous television networks including NASCAR, Discovery, and MTV’s The Real World, and Teen Mom 2.

With one of the lyrics saying “I don’t want to see the end, I know I will so all we got is time”. It’s a true testament to living your life in the now. They are ramping up for a massive 2022, with multiple EP’s, music videos, and tours.

They have brought hundreds of special guests in for their theme shows comprising of local and national talent. COME OUT OF YOUR SHELL and see what everybody has been talking about!
Going to the Sun
opens the stage at 5pm
Minneapolis-based Going To The Sun’s mix of earthy-acoustic-playful-electric-pop-rock rings with the earnest storytelling of Willie Nelson, the lush harmonies of “Pet Sounds”-era Beach Boys, and the spirited instrumentation of Modest Mouse and Arcade Fire, the result of small mountain-town Montana upbringing and two decades of being immersed in the rich music culture of Minnesota’s Twin Cities. Their music is both powerful and intimate, free-fall diving into the hard-won depths of loss and grief, and emerging with a celebratory sense of hope and purpose.

After their debut album was hailed by The Current (89.3) as a top local release, the band has followed up with “Love Letters From The Western Gate”, a memorable album that explores deep love, heartache, and resilience. 2022 sees Going To The Sun emerging from society’s collective hibernation, celebrating a new season with renewed energy and appreciation for social gatherings, music, and community.
